"convincing the hacker" sounds to me like a deal, its probably possible no ? Suppose they have with the help of Binance identifie him, this is a pretty good basis for negociation.

this "thief" is a man more clever and with a better understanding of the Elrond code than the whole Elrond dev team... he found something that none of them have seen, lets say he is a "clever thief". And by the way This question leads me to a more general one. Has the dex had a security audit? by an independent auditor? Has the Elrond team ever conducted any bug bounty program with significant awards?

when i read that, i just though that attacking during the night was intentional to minimise a rapid response from the team.
