rdl862704787 commented on @Lgbeano @rdlrt can we kick him?
was a matter of time ? they usually always self explode
rdl862704787 commented on hey guy which wallet do you prefer and why? daedalus or yoroi?
https://cardano-community.github.io/support-faq/#/Wallets/types?id=software-hot-wallets
rdl862704787 commented on warning for that?
You're not the one warned, not sure where you got that idea from
rdl862704787 commented on Hey partners, I came over from the SingularityNet channel; do you have the link to the ETH to ADA converter?
it is not on mainnet yet. It will be post upcoming Mary hard (upgrade) fork - no dates for ERC20 token converter have been released yet
rdl862704787 commented on 22%? Really? How is that possible? You did put 100 and got 122 back after 2 weeks?
it is up to 22%, many folks have said in reality their annual was less than blockchain staking...+ it does not help ecosystem at all..absolutely not recommended
rdl862704787 commented on HOW IS THE $1.5 BILLIONS BTC HE BOUGHT RELATED TO CARDANO????
it is not, and it (price/market cap/investment/speculations) certainly does not belong in this group ?
rdl862704787 commented on I have a question. Should i with draw my reward to stake in back?
a wallet contains two types of funds: - regular funds that are used for usual transactions - rewards earned that go against static account address (unique per account) Rewards are limited in functionality (you cannot select and transact partially from rewards balance) both, transaction and rewards together form your delegation stake..withdraw allows you to move those rewards to payment addresses , as well as when you decide to stop staking (or using that wallet) -> it allows you to deregister your keys which returns you 2 ADA deposit that you paid when staking for the first time
rdl862704787 commented on What about exodus wallet?
If you're asking about relating personal info about humans affects exodus wallet, No.
rdl862704787 commented on protocol should be automatically done right ? Why is this ?
No, update to protocol parameters was not automatically done at protocol level (there could be automated job to submit proposal every 5 days - but that'd be different and not sane to do in absence of someone to verify). Also, there was a slight jump couple of epochs ago to cater for some of the gap for decentralisation parameter decrease
rdl862704787 commented on Can a SPO add more pledge at any time?
yes , but it's not effective immediately
rdl862704787 commented on How can we see rewards history on Daedalus?
You cannot yet on Daedalus, but you can visit https://pooltool.io for example and use Track your Rewards button there (add *ANY* address from Daedalus receive tab to check rewards history)
rdl862704787 commented on Hi there, I have been delegating to pools for some time. I was wondering if I add new ADA to my delegation, how long does it take to get delegated and produce rewards?
the process is the same, your delegation (changed amount of funds) goes live at 2 epoch transitions - and you earn rewards at 4th epoch transition (thus, 15-20 days)
rdl862704787 commented on Where do u guys stake your ada?
Yoroi/ADALite/Daedalus, Atomic Wallet have started support - but its not yet on all platforms afaik
rdl862704787 commented on How do you tell if ADA on Binance is in a byron wallet or shelley wallet? If it was a byron wallet, could it go it go to a shelley addr1?
Users do not hold a real wallet on exchanges - exchanges hold multiple cold+hot wallets behind the scenes and link them to user funds. Binance does support shelley and you can withdraw to Shelley addresses fine ??
rdl862704787 commented on hi is there a way to send the rewards from staking say in Daedaeleus back into the main balance to compound?
rewards earned are already compound, you dont need to withdraw them
rdl862704787 commented on hello has anyone managed to stake cardano on yoroi and ledger s successfully and how its going?
heaps (myself included)
rdl862704787 commented on Are there any plans on releasing a lite version of daedalus in the future?
Not in immediate future
rdl862704787 commented on Are you referring to yoroi as the light wallet?
Though there are others (eg: https://adalite.io is good if you use hardware wallets) https://cardano-community.github.io/support-faq/#/Wallets/list
rdl862704787 commented on So we will lost first mainnet rewards for ITN rewards because we can't delegate those now?
hmm? No one lost anything...you will have access to your ITN rewards soon - with new Daedalus/Yoroi updates
rdl862704787 commented on Ok. how can I get my staking reward of yoroi wallet?
You're replying to message which says you cannot ? (not using IOHK/Emurgo wallets atleast - for now)
rdl862704787 commented on May I ask, is it possible that confirmation time be less than 5sec?
The slot interval in byron era was fixed at 20s. In shelley era , the interval is reduced to 1s but with some randomisation for schedule to average out the odds closer to 20 seconds. In spite of most advertisements in the ecosystem, less interval time does not always mean better, not without the appropriate usage atleast
rdl862704787 commented on Ok, so the coin/token was always on a cardano blockchain? Just a centralized version?
Yes - there is no change in the coin. Its just a network upgrade to much awaited decentralised era on more advanced consensus mechanism
rdl862704787 commented on Hello there. Can somebody help me with this question. If cardano is just one launching and ADA is the token for the blockchain, how has there been a ADA token since 2016?
For further information about the same, start at https://roadmap.cardano.org/ to familiarise yourself with phases of the project
rdl862704787 commented on Hello there. Can somebody help me with this question. If cardano is just one launching and ADA is the token for the blockchain, how has there been a ADA token since 2016?
Cardano was built ground up from scratch unlike counterparts, and initiated in Byron phase on a federated setup. Shelley (upcoming mainnet) marks decentralisation and upgrade to newer consensus mechanism
rdl862704787 commented on All my ada automatically upgrade to mainnet if i hold them in yoroi ??
Yes - asking it differently wouldnt change the answer ? https://t.me/Cardano/300715
rdl862704787 commented on Will binance support mainnet upgradation ??
they will, but you need to wait for them to complete their upgrade - best to chase binance for timelines
rdl862704787 commented on Should i have to swap my ada after shellay mainnet ??
There is no swap of tokens...not taking any actions while holding funds in a wallet is perfectly fine
rdl862704787 commented on Is it ok to hodl ada in binance account upon shellay mainnet ??
"not your keys, not your crypto..." Safest bet would be Daedalus - as it will likely be the first wallet to provide support for staking , followed by Yoroi and others
rdl862704787 commented on Is there any threashold of self-pledge when set up staking pool?
Not enforced by protocol, but going above saturation point does reduces reward %
rdl862704787 commented on I may have missed something. If Gougen releases on Q1 2021 but IOHK is only contracted until 2020. Does thus mean their contract will extend?
the contract is against work...the work will complete as part of existing contract - even if it goes beyond 2020...charles has addressed this multiple times
rdl862704787 commented on hi is yoroi wallet or adalite better to hold your ada?
Please compare using links here: https://cardano-community.github.io/support-faq/Wallets/list.html
rdl862704787 commented on Is ITN staking starting up again?
Rewards - no Network - continues to not be paused until last block making node (from anyone) is stopped
rdl862704787 commented on Hey, sorry to bug you guys, but if I have3 a Byron-era wallet, how do I update that to be in the modern era wallet?
There are no actions required until we migrate to Shelley mainnet - which is august. Even after the mainnet upgrade, you can still access your byron era wallets and import to shelley ones to stake There will be instructions closer to time.
rdl862704787 commented on thank you very much for your reply and just one more thing... will be possible staking by delegating from the Ledger ?
it will - eventually, perhaps not on day 1 tho
rdl862704787 commented on do you know if staking will be available at launch in ledger ?
Not sure, but have a feeling it wont be right at launch of mainnet, prolly weeks/months later - but just a guess , thats because I am assuming shelley wallets will have to be supported on ledger end too - and their release cycle could take a bit
rdl862704787 commented on Hello, I store mines on the Ledger trough yoroy. isn't that good enough for storing ?
yes - its fine (safer) to have funds on ledger based wallet including at mainnet update
rdl862704787 commented on I just want to know one thing right now and that is why do the blocks sync downward in percentage ?
but yeah..its testnet, and network currently on the testnet is unstable (there are reasons, bootstrap nodes being overloaded, faulty workarounds causing further commotion, forks, etc)
rdl862704787 commented on I just want to know one thing right now and that is why do the blocks sync downward in percentage ?
its because your local node running with Daedalus gets stuck (stops receiving updates) while the blockchain continues further. Usually closing and starting makes you bootstrap to newer state again
