Latest info that I have seen is that testnet operators should test version 1.35.2, while mainnet operators should stay on 1.34.x.
Hard fork would require IOG to give a definitive version that mainnet pool operators should switch to, waiting for enough pools to do that switch, issuing an update proposal, and waiting another epoch until the hard fork itself is done.
