CBDCs would be also be a very big shift in the legacy world, people tend to think it's just tokenised fiat, but it's not - most fiat is broad money created by lending, right now only banks have access to central bank deposits - but CBDCs are in effect central bank deposits... You are giving retail access to central bank deposits, so why would they stick their savings in a regular bank?
So legacy banks would be out of business I mean they already removed reserve deposit requirements anyway
