I’m just trying to understand the reason behind ERD going open source without protecting their code.
There a few projects which went open source without releasing their code, with the possibility of release just for testing as an open review option
Which means you can test their code to see if it actually works
At the moment anyone can copy ERD code, which basically means you are giving away your hard work
There should be some sort of contingency plan ?
Sorry for missing your question.
The reason why our community is so strong behind us is that we’ve always been transparent. This applies to everything that we do, be that the way we’re developing the protocol or through the way we communicate.
Regarding our architecture, since it’s very complex it would be difficult for someone to just copy it. We are proud to build an open source protocol and put it in the hands of the community to stress test it at its peak.
