Is there an amount of EGLD, that if it were to become 'inaccessible' from the active economy, would interrupt the utility of EGLD. I believe this is always the case in privately held keys as things have to be designed for the InExperienced in Mind. People will Lose Keys. Fact. People will Die and Not Pass on Keys. People will Lose UnBackedup Data. I've pondered this... and the only 'Solution' I've come to... without compromising Identity and so on... is a light, tax/burn/recycle/annual fee whatever across the board for everyone. This skims from the Hoarders and InAccessible accounts and wouldn't effect the small accounts as much, but it would basically go back toward the Max Circulation available. Distribution of Recycled Monies would be another question, but I think a recycling feature is the next feature that needs to be explored in the Crypto World. Max V Elastic Economies. Store of Wealth V Smart Contract Commerce. My question is... does Max Supply have a Poison Pill without a Recycle Feature?
I wouldn't call loss of EGLD a poison pill in most scenarios. Most of the time there would be ample time for EGLD to get dynamically, organically redistributed to where it people want to use it. What is in the EGLD economy is always from what's there (hasn't been issued and hasn't been lost), and the market price adjusts by supply & demand.
Why do you think a reduced supply would be a problem btw? Elrond have 16 decimals so we'll never have the problem of not being able to split it
