Had a questions elrond team, I was going through the token allocation of EGLd and I noticied that the team has 3.8 million EGLd allocated. Why is this the case?
Not sure how to answer, what do you mean why? The team don't work for free, although there was a time where erd wasn't worth a lot so the amount wasn't much, the network has been bootstrapped. Hard work and dedication should be rewarded and while the value has gone up, so does the number in the team.

Max after 10 years is 31.4 million, but this number will never be hit, there is an issuance model in place. You can read about it in the tokenomics paper, the more transactions on the network the less the issuance will be
