Hi Benjamin. Legacy Delegation has the same principle as for Staking: you are securing the network with your EGLD and the network is rewarding you with rewards (APR between 10-13%).
Legacy Delegation is the delegation towards Elrond Foundations' nodes. It is similar to the delegation on the Staking Pools’ nodes but it has few differences. In order to reach into the Legacy Delegation Pool or as the community calls it, active delegation, you have to go through a waiting list which works on a first come, first served basis. The minimum amount that can be delegated is 10 EGLD. Another difference is that Legacy Delegation Pool does not allow rewards restaking.
With Staking you can stake your EGLD (minimum amount is 1 EGLD) to a Staking Provider and you can do it right now - you have many available Staking Providers in Maiar app or in Web Wallet.
Hope this explanations helped you ????
