I didnt mean that all children below twelve have past life memories, but that there are reports of children who have past life memories and that they seemingly often lose those memories later when they grow up...I also don't "believe" in rebirth as a religious concept...but if there are such reports...and I have met such a child myself once...I did not talk about it with him but I also did not have the impression that he wanted to impress everybody with such stories...anyways, I don't see any reason why any religion should make such things up...I'm equally doubtful about the idea that consciousness is only a byproduct of the brain... who said that and why should it be the case?
