Would you say svelte is comparable to mustache / handlebars + hooks and events ? Basically an enhanced templating engine ?
It is a compiler with some pretty neat features, so I would say it is more than a templating engine. But there's nothing stopping you from integrating it into some backend framework and using it as such.
